🔍 What is Sending Extension e-files?
You may send extension e-files with other state or Federal e-files to the SureFire Electronic Filing Center.
⚠️ Before You Begin
Make sure you have your extension e-files ready to send in SureFire.
📊 Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Open the Communications menu
Use this when you need to access the sending options.
Open the Communications menu and select Send Federal/State Returns to.
Step 2: Select the returns to be sent
Use this when you need to choose which files will transmit.
Select the returns to be sent. Extension e-files can be identified by the letter at the beginning of the file name.
Form 4868/7004 - G
Form 2350 - Y
Regular e-files have the letter E at the beginning of the file name.
Step 3: Start the transmission
Use this when you are ready to transmit your selected e-files.
Click Send to start the transmission.
✅ Success!
Your extension e-files have been sent to the SureFire Electronic Filing Center.
📝 Note
Extension e-files are acknowledged by the IRS in the same manner as regular e-files.
