  • Manual entry fields allow you to enter amounts in the field without overriding them.
  • Calculated entry fields are entries calculated from other worksheets in the return.

πŸ“Š Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Find where a calculated amount comes from

Use this when you want to see the source of an amount.

To see where an amount comes from, you can press F9 while on the yellow amount field to bring up the "Entry Links" dialog box.

The form checked in that box is the source of the amount in question.

Step 2: Override a calculated entry (if needed)

Use this when you need to change a calculated value.

Any calculated entry can be overridden in SureFire by pressing F8 on the yellow amount field.

An overridden entry will show a white background with red numbers.
