Step 2: Find your Submission ID
Use this when you need to...
The Submission ID is an electronic tracking number for the returns.
Where to find it:
- In the return, it is located on the EF Info form.
- In the E-file Manager, look under the column labeled E-file ID.
- In SureFire, it is located on top of the printed form 8879 or by hitting your F7 key while in the open return.
