Problem

An error message "Runtime error 217"" appears when trying to open SureFire.

 

Cause

This problem is frequently caused by one of the following:

Msvcrt.dll needs to be updated (Microsoft Windows Updates)

Incorrect regional settings in Microsoft Windows

 

Resolution

To update the Msvcrt.dll file
