Calculation on 8839 changed with an update in SureFire - Customer transmitted a return with an 8839 and it was accepted. Print out the original return sent and accepted. Next add the 1040X. Before checking box on 1040X, remove the 8839, then lock changes Fill out 8839 and enter description explaining than update changed 8839 calculation and refund increase.
